Elsa is gifted with powers. This is the ability to access her higher faculties, otherwise known as the FORCE, superpowers etc. In order to master her gift and learn to use it for good, she is given set-backs in her life and must first refine her character. The hero is usually given a difficult childhood, trauma, and a wounded heart, thus weakening their greatest potential. The loss of Elsa’s parents is an all-time low for her and her sister. Little by little, Elsa learns to peel away, layer by layer, the aspects of herself that do not serve her highest good. Her journey represents your decision to come into yourself, by first seeing yourself for who you truly are. In order to get there, you have to cross the dark sea.
It is there that you will be faced by your guardian, who will threaten your very existence, appearing to you as a monster or a fo: a horse, a dragon, a beast. You will need to tame the beast before being granted access to the sanctuary, the castle, the palace. This space is your inner sanctuary.
RETURNING TO THE MOTHER – BACK TO THE WOMB
The “Show Yourself” scene in FROZEN II is an illustration of Elsa entering her inner sanctuary. She has been following a calling to return to herself, to the mother space, where she was born from. Finding her actual mother within the sanctuary is a metaphor for her having compassion for herself.
On any journey to finding the true self, the higher self, one must BECOME their own mother,
and give compassion and unconditional love to themselves. This is the hardest act of unconditional love that exists.
This means one needs to have compassion for their failures, setbacks, insecurities, mistakes, and imperfections.
You must see yourself through the eyes of a mother and forgive your humanness. The most difficult task of all is to have mercy on yourself.
Many can find love in their hearts for others, their family, act charitably, show unconditional love to those in need, and even love humanity. But, to let your guard down and give true compassion to yourself in all of your imperfection... I think this is the part of the journey where people hit a brick wall or are thrown back by the raging tide of the Dark Ocean.
THIS is the meaning of going into the UNKNOWN and showing yourself. The resistance that comes with choosing to let the veil down, and to see the real you in the mirror, requires an enormous act of courage and will always leave you standing in the center of the fire.
It is at this point that we must not shrink back. We have to keep bulldozing forward, ride the wave and get on our horse!
We must CHOOSE to be fearlessly ourselves. And, what happens when we do this? Our path and our purpose become crystal clear, and we are UNSTOPABLE.
